IN HOME SERVICES
The Schuyler County Health Department provides In Home Services to elderly and disabled clients. Clients can be referred to Home Health Services, Division of Aging and Mental Health. To apply for this program a client can be self-referred, or referred by physicians, family members or through an agency. In Home Services that are available include:
- Personal Care Services – These are maintenance services provided to a client in the individual’s residence to assist with the activities of daily living.
- Homemaker Chore Services – These include general household activities provided by an In Home Aide when the client is unable to manage the home and care for him/herself or others in the home or when the individual, other than the client, who is regularly responsible for these activities is temporarily absent.
- Respite Care Services – These are maintenance and supervisory services provided to a client in the individual’s residence to provide temporary relief to the usual caregiver.
- Skilled Nursing Services – These are of a maintenance or preventative nature and are provided to clients with stable chronic conditions. They are provided at the client’s residence and are pre-authorized by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services case manager. These services are not intended primarily as treatment for an acute health condition.
All In Home Services are provided by RNs and Nurse Aides. For more information please contact us at (660) 457-3721.
